Creative Suite 6 What's New | Course Overview

Learn the new features found in the ground breaking release of Adobe’s premier titles: Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator. Many tips for using the software are also included. Course Prerequisite

The course is suitable for people who have been using the previous versions for at least 4+ years and are using the software regularly.

InDesign CS6 New Features

The new and powerful features in InDesign CS6 are dedicated to document distribution and flexibility, including Liquid Layout and Alternate Layouts, new tools for creating flexible layouts for both print and digital publishing. Also learn about the enhanced tools for creating and updating linked objects within and between documents, the new Content Collector and Content Placer tools and the introduction of EPUB 3 protocols. Included are creating interactive PDF forms, along with utilising the new primary text frame, previewing and exporting colour layouts to grayscale, and how to take advantage of the new production aids such as aligning selections to a key object and using smart math, along with a slew of other tips and trick to improve your workflow!

Photoshop CS6 New Features

Photoshop CS6 is a fantastic release that will save hours daily on editing images! Some of the new features covered include: beneficial layer enhancements, including the ability to search for layer names and types and apply attributes to multiple layers at a time. We check out the Content-Aware Move, which grants the power to move a selected image element and then automatically fills in the background. We also examine the Adaptive Wide Angle filter, the new Stroke-Aware shape layers, new Camera RAW 7 engine, a slew of text enhancements and powerful video editing capabilities. Not to mention the Blur Gallery, Airbrushing, Oil Paint, and a world of spectacular 3D features.

Illustrator CS6 New Features

With the CS6 release, Adobe Illustrator celebrates it’s 25th birthday! You will see there is a fresh new look to Illustrator as we canvas it’s features throughout this part of the course. We take a peek at Pattern Options for creating simple, repeatable patterns for web graphics and the advanced tracing options within the Image Tracing tool, as well as the improved performance and file management features.
