Which Captivate course should I do?
Intro / Beginner
Captivate Essentials (2 days): This course is designed for anyone with either limited or no experience in using the Captivate authoring program to create the three main types of Captivate projects, demonstrations, simulations and assessments. Students will learn how to:
- • plan their eLearning projects
- • insert images and drawing objects
- • control playback via the Timeline
- • set pointers, buttons, and rollovers
- • record and edit audio
- • add Flash video and animation
- • create question slides
- • publish their project to a web site.
Advanced
Captivate Advanced (2 days):
This course is for those who have taken the Captivate Essentials course (or have equivalent knowledge) and wish to advance their skills to the next level. After a quick review of the Captivate production process, students will dive into advanced topics that include:
- • importing, editing, and rescaling PowerPoint presentations
- • custom styles, branching, and aggregating
- • eLearning and accessibility
- • inserting variables and widgets
- • reviewing and background editing
- • master slides and project templates
- • reporting results to an LMS.
