Acrobat 9 Essentials Training 
Course Description
The one day course focuses on generating pdfs suitable for either on-screen viewing, reproduction on a colour printer or taking direct to the printing press.
After creating pdfs, we fine-tune, edit, add interactivity and optimise them.
We’ll add multiple pages of different sizes and shapes and individually manipulate those pages. You’ll find out why Adobe Acrobat is a great multimedia tool too — adding links and bookmarks.

1 Day Acrobat 9 Course Outline
The Interface
The Getting Started Acrobat page and common Acrobat tasks, customising toolbars, Full Screen Mode, the Organizer and sorting PDFs, creating a Portfolio, working with the Navigation pane.
Creating Adobe PDFs
Use the Create PDF command & PDF settings, convert a file to PDF using the print command, reducing file size, compression & resampling, Inserting multimedia files, Converting web pages to PDF, create PDFs from Microsoft Word and Excel, PDF Maker.
Combining Files in PDF Portfolios
Combine multiple files into a searchable, sortable PDF package. Sharing your PDF Portfolio. Securing a PDF Portfolio.
Reading & Working With PDFs
Navigating, viewing, rotating, cropping and searching PDFs. Filling out forms. Edit and copying text in PDFs. Use the Reduce File Command. Making files flexible and accessible, Adding tags.
Enhancing & Editing PDFs
Moving pages, editing pages, editing links, working with bookmarks, renumbering pages, edit and extract text and images, edit images using the TouchUp Object tool, convert PDF pages to image format files, add headers, footers and backgrounds.
Adding Signatures & Security
Creating digital signatures, choosing your security settings and adding to PDFs, adding passwords, certifying pdf files, signing certified documents.
Using Acrobat to Review
One of the original features of PDF files and critical to document management is the ability to mark up pages and circulate comments. Learn some of the many annotation tools available to assist you in the sign-off process, that allow review participants to see one another’s comments and track the status of the review.
Working with Forms
Convert PDF files to interactive PDF forms, adding form fields, distributing forms, collecting form data, calculating and validating numeric fields.
Creating Multimedia Presentations
Using Illustrator’s Brushes: CalliAdd movies, animations and sounds into your PDF document. Use navigational buttons for interactivity and control timing of presentations.graphic, Scatter, Art and Pattern.
PDF for Print
Using Adobe InDesign, create PDFs suitable for high resolution printing, Preflighting, Working with Postscript files, Transparency issues, Setting up colour management, previewing your print job.
